Modern Slavery Policy
In support of our Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking Policy and in accordance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015, Corkery Smith Ltd has the following arrangements in place to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within our business and supply chain.
Supply Chain Awareness
Our Modern Slavery Policy applies to employees, subcontractors, labour-only operatives, agencies, and suppliers. The policy is made available to our supply chain during onboarding and upon request. All parties acting on our behalf are expected to comply with the principles set out in the policy.
Due Diligence and Controls
Right-to-work checks are carried out for all workers engaged on our sites. CIS verification is undertaken for subcontractors where applicable. We use reputable labour agencies and suppliers and do not permit cash-in-hand labour or arrangements intended to circumvent legal obligations.
Site Oversight
Site management maintains oversight of labour and working practices to ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and safety standards across all operations.
Reporting and Action
Any concerns or suspicions relating to modern slavery or human trafficking are reported to senior management. Breaches of this policy or failure to comply with legislation may result in termination of contracts and reporting to relevant authorities where appropriate.
These arrangements are reviewed periodically to ensure they remain proportionate to the size and nature of our business and the risks associated with the demolition sector.
